Getting around Bangkok is quick and easy. The Bangkok Transit System criss-crosses the commercial heart of the Thai capital, close to hotels and tourist attractions, travelling on an elevated rail.

Up to 600,000 travellers a day the system.

The Skytrain operates from 6am to midnight on a twin-line north and south axis from The Chatuchak Weekend Market to Chao Phraya River.
There are also thirteen shopping centres and markets on this route.

There is a central interchange at Siam Square, together with a third line running the full length of Sukhumvit road.

An air-conditioned bus feeder system operates in conjunction with the monorail.

Cost

Fares are less than 65p for a single ticket from one end of the system to the other.

Low cost multiple journey, and family tickets are also available on the system.

A three-day pass is 250 Baht.

The multi-lane, elevated highway is open, which cuts down the time from the airport and downtown to around 45 minutes.
