Visa and passport Information

Please note that children of all ages must now have a passport to travel to Thailand. They can no longer travel on the parents' passports.

The fee for the extension of visas is 500 Baht.

British passport holders must have a 10-year passport that is valid for six months beyond their stay in Thailand.

Visas

Visas are not required if you intend to stay for an up to 30 day holiday period and you meet the necessary passport requirements.
If you intend to stay for a longer period you will need to obtain a visa in advance from the Thai consulate.

Business

A non-immigrant visa will be required if you are travelling for business purposes. You must also submit with your application a letter from your company stating that they guarantee your repatriation.

Please Note

Check the time period of the visa stamped into your passport. Visitors overstaying their time will be fined 100 Baht for each excess day.
